Another fun activity we offer here at Sterling Hill Mining Museum is sluice mining. Just like panning for gold, you can purchase bags of sand. The sand mixture is then slowly poured into a tray which is dipped into our water feature to unveil the treasures inside. This activity takes about ten to fifteen minutes.
