Directions:

From northern New York City — White Plains area via Tappen Zee Bridge:

Cross Tappen Zee bridge on I-87/287 toward New Jersey. In about 15 miles, where I-87 and I-287 diverge, follow I-287 West. Proceed to the exit 52 for Route 23 North. Follow Route 23 for 18.4 miles to the Route 517 intersection in Franklin. Turn left onto Route 517 South. Take Route 517 South for 2.5 miles through Ogdensburg and turn right on Brooks Flat Road, at the brown sign for the Sterling Hill Mining Museum. Proceed down the hill for 0.4 mile and turn right on Plant Street. Follow Plant St. 0.9 mile to the Stop sign and turn left, then immediately left again into the Sterling Hill Mining Museum entrance.

From New York City (Manhattan) via George Washington Bridge:

After crossing the George Washington Bridge stay on I-95 to the I-80 West exit. Follow I-80 West past Denville to exit 34B for Route 15 North. Take Route 15 to the second Sparta exit (Franklin-Sparta exit) for Route 517 North. Follow Route 517 for 2.6 miles to Ogdensburg. In Ogdensburg, at Brooks Flat Road, is a brown sign for the Sterling Hill Mining Museum on the left (west) side of the road; turn left here. Proceed down the hill for 0.4 mile and turn right on Plant Street. Follow Plant St. 0.9 mile to the Stop sign and turn left, then immediately left again into the Sterling Hill Mining Museum entrance.

From the New York City - Jersey City - Newark area connecting to I-80 West:

Depending on your location, take either I-280 West or Routes I-78 West, 24 North, and I-287 North to join I-80 West near Parsippany. Proceed west on I-80 past Denville to exit 34B for Route 15 North.

Take Route 15 to the second Sparta exit (Franklin-Sparta exit) for Route 517 North. Follow Route 517 for 2.6 miles to Ogdensburg. In Ogdensburg, at Brooks Flat Road, is a brown sign for the Sterling Hill Mining Museum on the left (west) side of the road; turn left here. Proceed down the hill for 0.4 mile and turn right on Plant Street. Follow Plant St. 0.9 mile to the Stop sign and turn left, then immediately left again into the Sterling Hill Mining Museum entrance.

From the Philadelphia-Camden-Trenton area:

Proceed north on the NJ Turnpike (I-95) approaching Newark. Take exit 15W onto I-280 West. Proceed through Newark on I-280 West, bearing left as it merges with I-80 West. Follow I-80 West past Denville to exit 34B for Route 15 North. 
Take Route 15 to the second Sparta exit (Franklin-Sparta exit) for Route 517 North. Follow Route 517 for 2.6 miles to Ogdensburg. In Ogdensburg, at Brooks Flat Road, is a brown sign for the Sterling Hill Mining Museum on the left (west) side of the road; turn left here. Proceed down the hill for 0.4 mile and turn right on Plant Street. From the Paterson area via Route 23 North:

Take Route 80 West through Paterson and take exit for Route 23 North. Proceed 26 miles to the Route 517 intersection. Turn left onto Route 517 South. Take Route 517 South for 2.5 miles through Ogdensburg and turn right on Brooks Flat Road, at the brown sign for the Sterling Hill Mining Museum. Proceed down the hill for 0.4 mile and turn right on Plant Street. Follow Plant St. 0.9 mile to the Stop sign and turn left, then immediately left again into the Sterling Hill Mining Museum entrance.

From the Scranton-Wilkes Barre area via I-84 East:

Proceed east on I-84 to Matamoras. Cross the Delaware River and take exit 1 for Route 23 South. Follow Route 23 for 21 miles through Sussex, Hamburg, and Franklin to the Route 517 intersection. Take Route 517 South for 2.5 miles through Ogdensburg and turn right on Brooks Flat Road, at the brown sign for the Sterling Hill Mining Museum. Proceed down the hill for 0.4 mile and turn right on Plant Street. Follow Plant St. 0.9 mile to the Stop sign and turn left, then immediately left again into the Sterling Hill Mining Museum entrance.
